4SKÖR is a dynamic and sophisticated vocal quartet that incorporates tight harmonies and smooth arrangements in an energetic and infectious style all their own. The group is equally at home performing a cappella or with their trio. Their unique sound is modern with hints of jazz, latin, R&B, funk, pop and fusion.

Sara, Pete, Kylie and Sean crossed paths during high school in diverse music competitions and ensembles while studying and building their professional music careers.

As 4SKÖR, they have performed at various events in and around the Toronto area including The Beaches Jazz Festival, Oakville Downtown Jazz Festival, Musicfest Canada, The Sing! Vocal Arts Festival, Jazz Bistro, 120 Diner, Villa Caledon Inn and The Distillery District with Heather Bambrick. They are looking forward to performing some newly commissioned arrangements to be featured on their debut album!

Sara began her music career studying voice at The University of Windsor, and then went on to study Vocal Jazz Performance at Humber College. She ventured to the west coast where she was part of the vocal group Voice Deco.  Sara continued her career conducting and singing in several other groups in the Toronto area.  She has worked as a vocal jazz clinician in high schools throughout southern Ontario. She continued her singing career as a freelance vocalist prior to her joining three of her favourite musicians to form 4SKÖR.

Kylie graduated The University of Toronto with a Jazz Vocal Performance degree and was a founding member of The Beehive Singers – recording, touring and performing throughout North America and the Carribean with their front band, “Jaymz Bee and The Royal Jelly Orchestra”. The Beehives were also featured as backup vocalists on Carol Welsman’s Juno nominated album, “Inclined”. As a vocalist, Kylie sang backup on the Toronto talent show “Popstars 2” and worked with the late Composer, Chris Dedrick, recording backup vocals for his TV show “The City”.

Pete graduated from the Contemporary Writing and Production Program at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He went on to tour Canada and Germany with an award winning boy band called “Voices in Public” (aka V.I.P.) who were featured in the Disney Television musical “The Music Man” with Mathew Broderick and Kristin Chenoweth. V.I.P. also received a Genie Award for “Best Original Song in a Movie” for their composition in “Jacob Two Two Meets the Hooded Fang”.  Pete combines his singing talent with his production skills, making sure arrangements are tight and recording and editing the live 4SKÖR shows.

Sean graduated with Honours from Humber Music, moving on to study vocal jazz performance at the University of Toronto and was a founding member of The Beehive Singers who recorded and toured with “Jaymz Bee and The Royal Jelly Orchestra”. The Beehives were also featured as backup vocalists on Carol Welsman’s Juno nominated album “Inclined”.
